Our lab recently acquired the IMX646 event-based vision sensor (product page: https://www.prophesee.ai/event-based-sensor-imx646-sony-prophesee/) for an embedded vision project, and we are planning to deploy it on a Raspberry Pi 5.

While researching the driver support, I went through your official GitHub repositories and found a few interesting points regarding the IMX636:

1. In the linux-sensor-drivers repository (https://github.com/prophesee-ai/linux-sensor-drivers), there is dedicated Linux driver code available for the IMX636.

2. In the rpi-sensor-drivers repository (https://github.com/prophesee-ai/rpi-sensor-drivers/blob/main/Makefile), the Makefile also appears to contain configuration blocks that directly handle and load the IMX636 driver on the Raspberry Pi platform.

Based on these findings, I would highly appreciate it if the Prophesee team or anyone in the community could clarify the following questions:

• Q1: Can the Raspberry Pi 5 directly drive the IMX636 sensor out-of-the-box using the current code provided in the rpi-sensor-drivers and linux-sensor-drivers repositories?

• Q2: Since both IMX636 and IMX646 share the same HD resolution (1280x720) and are co-developed with Sony, is the current IMX636 driver code compatible with our IMX646 sensor? If not, are there any minor modifications we can make to the register configurations, or is there an upcoming branch/repository that formally supports the IMX646 on Linux/Raspberry Pi?

Any guidance, documentation, or tips on getting the IMX646 up and running on the Raspberry Pi 5 would be immensely helpful!
