USB and MIPI camera different bias defaults and ranges
I am seeing different default bias values and allowable ranges between the MIPI and USB versions of the IMX636.
The following figure are the bias values that are found in
this article as well as through testing on the Metavision Studio application. For bias_on and bias_off the default values are 0.
When working with the MIPI version on a KV260, the default value for bias_off is 55 and bias_on is 105(?). And when trying to override them using the python bindings in OpenEB I can only set them between [0, 255]. Additionally, when using device.get_i_ll_biases().set("bias_diff_on", bias_val) it will instead sum the input value and the default. For example if I use the prior command to set bias_off to 10 it will instead set it to 65 (default of 55 + 10). And will not allow me to pass a negative value to reduce the bias_off values. This is seen in the image below where I am attempting to set bias_off to 255 (-f 255 in script) and it will not because the sum of the default (310) is greater than 255 when I instead want it to be equal to 255.
Is there a reason for the default values and ranges being altered from the USB version? And is there a conversion between the USB values and the MIPI values? Or is there a way to make the MIPI camera to match the USB settings?
We were doing testing of settings using the USB camera and would like to use those findings for collecting using the MIPI camera.
