Video writing for spatter tracking

Hello, 

I am using the metavision_spatter_tracking.py code with these parameters:

python metavision_spatter_tracking.py -i recording.raw --cell-width 7 --cell-height 7 --activation-ths 10  --accumulation-time-us 50 -f 3 -o video

I want to save the video in AVI format but the code is very slow when I add the "-o video" to the parameters and the generated avi file is very big and long.

Would you please let me know how can I make the code run faster?
